Salvatore Alfredo Pacino, better known as Sal Pacino, was born in 1922 in Harlem, New York.

He was born into a family of Sicilian immigrants. Growing up, Sal was known for being intelligent, cheerful, and full of life. At the age of 15, he finished school and fell in love with Rose Gerard, a twenty-year-old woman of Sicilian descent.
