    Her Funeral Mass was offered Sept. 17 in the DePaul House Chapel of the Daughters of Charity in Albany.

    A Mass of thanksgiving celebrating her life will be hosted by Covenant House in Manhattan sometime in the next three weeks.

    Details of the Mass will be announced later.

    A member of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Sister Mary Rose served as president of Covenant House from 1990 until her retirement in 2003, doubling the number of homeless young people served by the international network annually.

    Covenant House was at its lowest point when she took over, because of financial and sexual abuse accusations against its founder, Franciscan Father Bruce Ritter, who later left his order and died in 1999.
